About Ms. Jacobs
As Chief Information and Innovation Officer, Ashley Jacobs oversees Communications, City-County Bureau of Identification, Community Services, Fire and Emergency Management Services, Information Services, and Strategic Performance and Innovation.
Jacobs joined Wake County in June 2021. Prior to that, she served as County Administrator in Beaufort County, SC, Assistant County Administrator in Aiken County, SC, Deputy County Administrator in Dorchester County, SC, and Assistant County Administrator in Richland County, SC.
Jacobs holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of South Carolina. She is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina and former President of the League of Women in Government.
